Prof. d-r MIODRAG VRCHAKOVSKI IS ANSWERING THE QUESTION: “WHAT IS A HERNIATED DISC?”
A very common condition, mainly in the elderly population is back pain, whose diagnosis is a herniated disc.
It is a condition that disables the patient, demoralizes him/her, makes him/her moody and prevents him/her from performing the normal everyday functions, having great dissatisfaction because of the pain he/she feels.
It is actually a condition when our “cushions” lose their function in relieving our movements. If damage occurs to the walls of the periphery of the disc, the central gelatinous material makes its way to the surface, penetrating the walls and by exiting, it causes pressure on certain nerves.
More details about what is herniated disc, main symptoms, possibility of its treatment and disappearance will be provided by Prof. d-r Miodrag Vrchakovski, a Specialist in Neuroradiology.
